Hi there, my name is Mark, a computer science student and tech entrepreneur based in Taiwan. My first engagement with programming was when I graduated from elementary school. Luckily, I learned how to do C programming when I had just kicked started my learning career. And today, I would like to share the impact I have with programming in C and many other programming languages like Python and JavaScript by listing top projects I have done with lesson-learned stories.

The first actual C programming project I did with meaningful memory was an Arduino device with a humidity meter and an Arduino UNO board. That is a gift for my geoscience teacher, who has been a supportive force during my difficult times in junior high school. The idea is pretty simple, and it uses I2C as a communication protocol to fetch the data from the humidity sensor and display it on an LCD display. Although it was a straightforward project from the perspective of my current capability, it has helped me a lot in problem-solving and content searching.

The second big project is the TVC rocket to accomplish full reusability. That was very challenging, even from my current perspective. I learned how to design a simple fuzzy control system with Arduino code with the actual implementation using servo motors and a 3D printer. This project became the stepping stone for my current laboratory project - the NSPO launch mission.

NSPO mission is the by far the most challenging mission we have ever taken before. The apogee required is over 5 kilometers. And the acceleration for the vehicle is around 7 to 8 G which is over a hundred meters per second square. That is highly challenging for the avionics system and ground station design. And that is what I have been doing for the past months.

These stories have shown the great potential that learning how to code could do for your life and learning career. Learning how to code is not just about getting into a top tech company like Google or Microsoft but thinking computationally, solving challenging problems, building amazing rockets, and even starting your own venture!
